"The Start of Something Big"

Well, yesterday Dad saw the fulfillment of an event he had been planning since arriving in LA.

Anyway, here's the article for the Orange County Registar:

The start of something big

Anglican faithful from churches in Orange and Los Angeles counties gathered at Corona del Mar State Beach for a historical reenactment of

the cross planting at Cape Henry near Jamestown, Virginia, exactly 400 years ago on Sunday.

The cross planting, one of several events across the nation on Sunday commemorating the founding of the first permanent English settlement in America, was followed by a prayer service.

"This is a very instrumental, very important day," said Sarah Desborough of Fountain Valley. "If it wasn't for this landing, we wouldn't have the United States as it is today."
